Official Statement : Following the recent trip to Oulton Park (which was arranged by #1) it became evident
that the newly elected events director (#2) had aparently misunderstood his remit. When questioned on the lack of events
in the calendar for 2008 he stated that he thought he was only organising events during the le mans 2008 trip. An emergency
executive board meeting is now being arranged to discuss the matter. An insider (who refused to go on the record) stated
that disciplinary action was possible. Watch this space.
Update 28th May : Events director has accepted his job description for the year and is now busy focussing
on the le mans trip.
Update July : Events director disappointed by the lack of enthusiasm shown by club members. Attendance
has been poor at events since Le Mans. The events director is considering introducing a motion at the AGM to set
a minimum no. of events to be attended by all club members or they risk losing their membership status. Associate member
007 seconded this suggestion as she has attended more events than all of the 'full' members. A membership number
rotation policy is also being considered (as in most Premiership Football Clubs where squad numbers are rotated
on an annual basis based on performance in the previous season.)
We will be at the following events in 2008 : (assuming the Events Director gets around to organising them (and others)).
